About The Cinema Chefs

The Cinema Chefs podcast teaches listeners how to cook by exploring food scenes in movies. Hosts Clara Park and Jenn de la Vega have decades of culinary experience: Michelin-starred restaurants, wedding catering, nearly 20 cookbooks, product development, culinary instruction, and, of course, food styling and craft services for film and TV. You might recognize them from Chopped, Snack v. Chef, Guy’s Grocery Games, and the upcoming season of Gastronauts.

Why you should check out The Cinema Chefs?

Each episode is loaded with cooking tips, chef hacks, kitchen folklore, and industry tea.

Listening to each episode is like having a couple of chefs as your BFFs.

Two Asian-American chefs share their personal kitchen triumphs and tribulations through the lens of film.

Introducing Clara Park

Chef Clara Park (Co-host) is the Korean-American founder of the culinary school, eat cetera philly, and co-host of The Cinema Chefs podcast. After graduating from the University of Chicago, she earned a Master’s degree in Biology from Columbia University before completing the work-study program and earning her culinary certificate from the Institute of Culinary Education in NYC. She honed her skills in Michelin-starred restaurants in San Francisco, Napa Valley, Philadelphia, and New York.

As a culinary development chef, Park has created hundreds of products for the nation’s top grocers, including Costco, developed menus for all tiers of restaurant dining and trained both front and back of house hospitality professionals. Park has had her writing featured in Philadelphia magazine, The Huffington Post, and The Kitchn. Other career highlights include winning Best Burger in Philly in 2016 for her Korean bulgogi burger, emerging victorious on the Food Network’s Chopped, eating live octopus and doing Korean menu translation for chefs Anthony Bourdain and Eric Ripert and getting kids excited about cooking and food science as a contestant on Netflix’s Snack vs. Chef. She is on the board for The Food Lab at Drexel University and the advisory council for the Culinary Literacy Center at the Free Library of Philadelphia.
